Who is the candidate for liposuction?

Even though the headline implies it, this text is neither about politicians nor celebrities that would benefit from the surgery (any many of them would), but about us, me and you, about all that wish to look better and are ready to do something about it.

You eat healthy, work out on regular basis, but something is missing? This is the text for you!

Liposuction is minimally invasive procedure, with which unwanted fat tissue deposits are removed from different regions on the body. Although very safe, patients need to fulfill certain criteria.

  • good overall health

Like with any other surgical procedure candidates for liposuction should be healthy, non smokers if possible, with realistic expectations when it comes to an outcome. Local condition of the skin and subcutaneous tissue is very important: namely, its elasticity that will enable the skin to adapt to removal of fat skin and to the new body silhouette.

  • isolated fat tissue deposits

Unlike abdominoplasty, with which we remove great amounts of fat tissue from the belly, with liposuction we attack stubborn fat tissue deposits, which do not respond to diet and regular work out. If these deposits are on the belly, waist, hips, thighs, knees, forearms, arms or on the back, results of liposuction will be remarkable. Also, liposuction successfully corrects deposits under jaw and on the neck (double chin), and on men with gynecomastia liposuction helps with removal of fat tissue around mammary glands.

  • regular work out and diet

Good candidates are all those who eat adequately and healthy and work out regularly, who reached their desired level of physical fitness and are willing to maintain it after the liposuction. During the post-operative period patient must have regular checkups by the surgeon, virtual or in the doctors’ office, and must strictly follow agreed regime. In this way effects are permanent, and satisfaction guaranteed. Only the wardrobe “suffers” in our story, because all of a sudden it is full of bunch of big clothes, but also with new tight jeans, short skirts and similar pieces of fancy clothing.
